Who am I?
In the dynamic realm of internal communication, guidance from an experienced mentor provides the strategic insights and persnalized attention needed to navigate complexities effectively.
From journalism to internal communication
I started as a journalist, later transitioned to PR and collaborated with renowned agencies such as Young&Rubicam, AMI Communications, and Lesenský. Additionally, I ventured into recruitment for a short time and successfully sourced IT professionals for esteemed companies like IBM.
However, it was my role in internal communications at AVG (later Avast, now Gen) that truly opened my eyes to the possibilities of combining my passion for writing and communication with my PR and marketing expertise, as well as my understanding of organizational dynamics. Ever since that pivotal moment, I have been captivated by the field.
My passion has turned into my daily mission
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in internal communication for both large corporations and for emerging startups. I was lucky to collaborate with companies such as EmbedIT (IT center of all Home Credits belonging to the PPF holding), pharmaceutical giant MSD, travel tech unicorn Kiwi.com, or the pioneer in adblocking technology eyeo.
I was also offered to pass my knowledge, experience and passion for internal comms on to university students. For several years I taught Strategic Internal Comms at Masaryk University and Newton College, Brno. I dedicated three years to pursuing a Ph.D. in Internal Communications at Masaryk University focusing on the role of internal communication in innovation crisis of companies, and in 2022, I received a postgraduate diploma in Internal Communications from the esteemed European Institute of Communications.
Approaching internal communication holistically, I firmly believe in managing it strategically to achieve desired outcomes. As a trusted partner for C-level executives, I provide valuable insights, while also serving as a trainer and cheerleader for mid-management, empowering them to excel in their roles. At the same time I am an unwavering advocate for employees, ensuring their voices are heard and fostering a positive and engaging work environment.
